A wonderful opportunity to hike with professional photographer Wilson Wyatt and his assistant,

Michael Madsen, to a unique natural arch in the heart of the majestic Superstition Mountains. We will also photograph the surrounding area, spend impromptu time giving tips on composition, exposure and metering in the desert. This trip includes a boxed lunch, bottled water and instruction.

The full moon and desert combine to make for a fine evening of photography. The City Lights and Moonlight Workshop is optimized for best shooting of moonlight to capture the desert and the city at night. This class is for amateur photographers wishing to discover their evening photography potential through hands-on guidance and personal instruction. We will be focusing on creativity and experimentation; and guide you through topics of lighting, exposure, and camera settings in low light situations. Both digital and film cameras are welcome.

Be sure to bring a tripod and a flashlight.

The cost for this trip is $60

Join us for a new series of workshops at The Boyce Thompson Arboretum. Our goal with this series of workshops will be to take the mystery out of using your digital camera and excel forward into fine art nature photography. In this series of workshops we will start off covering basic functions of your cameras menu as well as aperture and shutter speeds, ISO and White Balance. Then we will move into selective focus and depth of field, composition and more advanced functions of your camera, with impromptu field lectures. Click on adjacent photo for more info.
