Sign up early for this popular workshop to capture the aspens at their hopeful height in both Locket Meadow and Heart Prairie.

Autumn rarely fails to leave an impression on the beholder. This is especially true when hues of yellow, orange and red play across the rugged terrain. Hopeful deep blue skies with the San Francisco peaks as a background, and you have the ingredients of every landscape photographers' dreams. Early crisp morning, musky autumn scents, the play of shadows and elk bugling in the distance complete the assault on ones senses creating one of the most magical times to photograph in Flagstaff.

This Workshop is an aggressive pursuit to shoot the very best of Arizona’s autumn. It is geared for the beginning to advanced photographer. However, one-on-one personal instruction from Professional Photographer Wilson Wyatt and his assistant, Michael Madsen offer assistance for each participant at their own level.

We focus on creating the most appealing compositions of each location. We also cover equipment, exposure, metering, filters and personal tips as needed. We will have many impromptu discussions and help you work on your images during some midday down time. If you have images you wish us to critique, please bring them.

Be prepared for possible temperature extremes and sudden changes in weather. Be aware that mornings and evenings can be very chilly in October at higher elevations.. These workshops do not involve extended trail hiking, however, they can involve vigorous activity walking along surfaces that are generally uneven. Hiking boots or shoes are recommended.

As autumn is a feast for every one’s senses, we will offer half price to non-photographer participants (spouse/significant other not carrying a camera).
